docker image sizes

our images are really big:

  • textgridrep-portal 245MB
  • textgrid-indexutil 509MB
  • textgrid-resolver 479MB
  • aggregator 1.07GB
  • rdf4j-service 365MB
  • elasticsearch:7.9.3 742MB

opensearch gets even bigger

  • opensearch:1 838MB
  • opensearch:2 1.47GB

it would be good to optimize this a bit, e.g. with native builds for our services, using the same base images (so the docker layer needs to be pulled only once) and searching a minimal opensearch distribution

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
