1D simulations confirming our theoretical results about 1D microscope resolution.

The goal is to figure out if resolution depends linearly on the FWHM for Gaussian, stabilized Gaussian, Poisson and binomial noise. We used 2D likelihood ratio test in this simulation.

In this simulation we simulate microscope resolution in 2D using the maximum of 1D tests as a test.

The goal is to figure out if resolution depends linearly on the FWHM. We use 1D likelihood ratio test on the line connecting the estimated centers of the two psfs in the alternative hypothesis.
