Suggestions for PDF report
Hi to everyone,
in the following I will post my suggestions concerning the PDF report:
Job overview
- Not so much space between the lines (1.5 line spacing is enough)
- Move "Node list" from "Node information" to "Job overview"
- Requested and Used time are in different format. Why?
- Include "Time of job submission"
- Include "Jobname" below "Job-ID"
- Job-ID --> Job ID?
- Requested/Elapsed time: I would prefer the Slurm format: dd-hh:mm:ss
Global summary
- Why 60.3 minutes (walltime) and not 60.00 as above (or 1 h)?
- Swap sum: the total available swap space is missing
- If GPU is available at least the GPU utilization and GPU memory usage should be displayed
- Hyperthreads?
- "I/O (Read/Write)": Is it a rate or the sum over the job? Why is this metric not a rate since "Network IB max" is a rate.
- CPU-usage -> CPU usage?
Table "Node distributions"
- In the node distribution table "CPU time user", "CPU time system", etc should be moved below the first row (CPU usage) to have all CPU metrics in one place
- If GPUs are used in the job, the GPU distribution summary table should move to the node distributions and both should be merged together.
- Not all GPU metrics are needed (?), e.g. "CPU usage HWM", "Memory RSS HWM" (why again listed?), "Power Limit" and "Power HWM" are similar?
- BeeGFS values are missing, also NFS or localdata
- The boxplots must have the same length over all lines
- The units have to be consistent (e.g. IO read size has unit MB and IO write size has unit Bytes; both should have the unit MB; the same for the CPU metrics in line 9 - 12)
- Units should be given in MiB, GiB, etc. instead of MB, GB, etc?
Timelines
- CPU usage: The intervall of the timeline should be [0, 100]% and the y axis should be cut at the minimum or maximum value
- The timeline chart have to be in the same order as the entries in the "Node distributions", e.g. in the "Node distributions" table CPU usage is at the first place, the same should be in the "Node timeseries plot"
- GPU Timeseries plots should be merged into that table
- How should #processes >= 16 visualized in the PDF report, without being confused by the amount of datalines.
