UX Optimization Customize & Toggle Functionality

Feature Requests

Description

The toggle functionality and customize functionality do not yet fit well together from a UX point of view. The two features should be married, therefore a conceptual (UX) rework is necessary.

here are some ideas that should be considered conceptually

  • currently the reset button only refers to the toggles. We need a way how to reset the custom settings to default as well. Ideally there is a button that refers to both.
  • pressing ESC should close the customize panel modal (to improve keyboard accessibility
  • a click/tap outside the customize panel modal should close the modal

User Stories

As a user, i would like to be able to adjust the interface intuitively to my needs with just a few clicks.

Sub-Stories

As a user, I want to return to the default view of the viewer as easily as possible, so that I can turn to a new document during my examination, for example.

As a user i want to be able to close the panel using methods I know from other apps

Classification

Is this feature an enhancement of existing code or a completely new feature?

  • enhancement
  • new feature
