the list of elements that can be inserted using auto-complete (based on the TEI schema information) does not seem to update inline between start- and end-tags of an element just inserted, but seems to presuppose a newline between them [was #8202]
see summary; i expanded the tei header of my example document by inserting the tei:encodingDesc element, cf. screen1. this worked out fine. however, when the start- and end-tag of tei:encodingDesc were in place, the list of possible context elements in between the start- and end-tags of tei:encodingDesc received no update, cf. screen 2, unless i inserted a newline between the tags, cf. screen4. if i chose to insert another tei:encodingDesc element inline within the start- and end-tags of the already existin tei:encodingDesc element (invalid, of course), the new "element" inserted consisted just of an incomplete start-tag missing the closing angle bracket and an end tag, cf. screen3.
