CI improvements
I have set up (and am currently testing) a basic registration pipeline that should (if everything works as intended) automatically open a registration PR in the General registry when manually triggered. This could be improved in the following ways
-
it would be nice to have a TagBot-like thing that is triggered by the GitHub PR closing and uses the changelog parsing etc. from our private registry to create meaningful releases. Unfortunately, that would probably require an external app to keep an eye on the PR and tag when it closes. Maybe it can be done with a GitHub app? I don't know. Alternatively, we could still just tag the releases after opening the PR on General, but I feel like that is bad style, give that we are now a Serious, Grown Up Package. -
we should probably integrate CompatHelper. Should be easy & helpful -
tests, benchmarks, coverage tests etc. Again, we are a Serious, Grown Up Package now.
